Binge-Worthy Thrillers: Why I Wrote for the Netflix Generation

Remember when we had to wait a whole week between television episodes? Notice how it’s coming back?

Yeah, me too. Hated it back then and hate it now.

I'm one of you—the person who hits "next episode" at 2 AM, promising myself "just one more." The one who gets personally offended when a show ends on a cliffhanger and there's no next season ready to stream. Sometimes called the Netflix Generation; trained to expect our stories delivered hot, fast, and complete.

That's exactly why I wrote The Vanishing Series to drop as a complete set. Because nothing kills momentum like waiting months (or years!) between installments when you're desperate to know: What. Happens. Next.

I structured these books like a streaming series—each one ends with enough resolution to satisfy, but with an unknown that (hopefully) makes you immediately reach for the next. Think of it as five seasons dropping at once. Mia's evolution from victim to vanishing expert unfolds across 2,000 pages of escalating stakes, deepening mysteries, and characters who become your complicated friends.

The beauty of binge-reading? You catch the Easter eggs. The throwaway detail in Book 1 that becomes crucial in Book 4. Or 5. The character you whined about leaving behind, who returns when you least expect it. The slow-burn romance that pays off because you're living it in real-time, not stretched across publishing years.

When the series arrives mid-2026, you won't have to ration chapters or reread to remember plot points. Fast-binge one book for a few days—or the whole series if you're a super reader—or drag it out over a few weeks: Totally your call.

But in the end? Be satisfied—on your own terms instead of a publisher’s calendar.
